I wanted something smaller and easier to take on a train than my 15 year old full size e-bike, and this seemed to fit the bill at a price to suit only occasional use now that I am in my mid-70s.
Easy to assemble when it arrived (delivery was a lot faster than I expected when ordering), I immediately replaced the saddle with my old one (which is lighter and also suits me), shortened the handlebars by about 5cms (again, this suits me), and also added my old bar-end mirror.
I charged the battery and took it out for a run and was really impressed by it. The disc brake on the front wheel was rubbing slightly but was easy to fix with a small adjustment, and apart from that everything was fine. Although I haven't ridden a small-wheel bike for many years I quickly got used to it. The gears are a bit too low for my taste and I will probably replace the front chainwheel with one of 40 or 42 teeth at some point in the near future.
The tyres that came with the bike gave me no confidence that I wouldn't be suffering numerous punctures, so I decided to replace them with Schwalbe Marathons. I was not looking forward to changing the tyre/tube on the back wheel, but there was enough slack in the cable to the motor to make it reasonably simple. I consider that to be a large plus point - on some e-bikes it is a major operation to change the tyre.
Build quality was exceptional for a budget bike, the only slight let-down being the tyres - but any improvements to them would put the cost of the bike up.
Folding the bike was straightforward, although folding the actual frame was very stiff for the first few times. That has now eased though.
Carrying the folded bike is awkward due to the weight, but I was expecting that.
Range: depends on how much "help" you need/want. With the low gear ratios I have been happy on the lowest power settings on the flat and haven't had a chance to run the battery down on a single run yet.
