Are samebike electric bikes legal in Europe and UK?

The SAMEBIKE electric bicycle is fully compliant with the legal regulations for assisted bicycles in both the European Union and the United Kingdom:

1)Maximum Speed:
The default speed setting upon purchase aligns with EU/UK regulations at 25KM/H. However, for those inclined, it's possible to unlock the speed limit to reach 35KM/H or higher (instructions to remove the limit can be obtained from customer service).

2)Maximum Power:
The motor doesn't have explicit power markings, adhering to EU/UK regulations. The actual motor power is indicated by the "D" code, like "500W" as "500D" or "250W500D," encompassing both rated and peak power within legal limits.

3)Pure Electric Drive Mode:
The bike comes with a detachable thumb throttle. Removing it complies with EU/UK regulations, which prohibit a pure electric mode. However, users can install the throttle according to preference for a pure electric mode (instructions for the detachable throttle are included or available via customer service).

4)Product COC Certification:
All SAMEBIKE models have obtained CE and UKCA certifications from the EU's ECM institution, ensuring full compliance with legal standards.

Q:What kind of bike M20 is?

-M20 is a model between electric bicycles and electric dirt bikes.

-It is more suitable for the off-road experience than ordinary electric bikes.

-At the same time, it is much better than an electric dirt bike in terms of controllability and riding comfort.

Q: How long to receive the electric bike?

A: Usually within 1 week.

Q: How to lift the speed limit?

A:1.Hold the + and - buttons for 3-5 seconds to enter the display parameter settings

2.Short press the + button to enter the 06P setting

3. Short the i button to enter the state of changing parameters

4. Short press + button and set the speed to 50km/h

5. Short press the i button again to save parameter settings

Q: How about the mileage?

A: Up to 65 km+ on PAS mode, depending on your working mode, pas level, weight, hills, and headwinds/tailwinds

Q: Why doesn't it have a rearview mirror?

A: Electric bicycles typically lack rearview mirrors due to their design being closer to traditional bicycles.

Riders are encouraged to reduce speed, turn their heads and use proper hand signals to check traffic behind them for safety.

Yes, It is legal in Europe.

There are 2 power modes to choose from:
Standard (mode 1): 250W/ 25km/ h/ PAS (pedal assist)
Off-road (mode 2): 1000W/ 50km/h / PAS+ throttle

By default, we always start in mode 1 and you have to go through the Instrument to remove speed limit, so we are completely street-legal .

However, there is nothing preventing you from riding in mode 2,But this may involve a little constraints to daily life ,such as limited access to bike lanes, wearing approved equipment, etc.

Q: Does it require a specific driver's license or permit?

No, Riders do not require a driver's license to ride eBikes on the road.

Amazing E bike

Got mine on amazon for a tad bit cheaper so far i got 430 miles on it, ride it 19 miles a day to work and back, really fun and pretty quick with 28psi i can get up to 33mph to 35mph i weigh about 145lbs an probably have about a 30 lbs in my backpack an i still get up to 35mph on the way home, i only get up to abput 30 to 33mph on the way to work because its slightly uphill but its extreamly reliable rain, wind, sun, cold nothing seems to stop me id really like to get another backwheel with the motor and another battery but i dont see a way to get one unfortinatly. If anyone knows please comment !
